i followed your protocol to set up an "account". due to the nature of the problem(which i described), i was unable to locate the "confirmation" email sent to verify and complete my "account" setup. now that i've had someone solve my problem, neither of us even understanding what caused it nor how we were finally able to fix it, i have received your useless email. how do you expect your "system" to help if the scenario just described is in effect? or any other scenario in which one is unable to view email? your reply would be appreciated.

Hi ninakatrina, a support account on this website does require confirmation of a valid email address. Usually if you cannot retrieve your email through Thunderbird you can check it using your provider's webmail interface in your preferred browser, or sometimes using a mobile device.
