I have Firefox on multiple computers, both Macs and Win10 machines. When I start Firefox on a Win10 laptop, Task Manager shows at least six Firefox windows opening simultaneously but with different activity levels. This is not the case on my Macs or other Win10 computers. I tried uninstalling and removing all remaining traces of Firefox and downloading a new copy but, obviously, residuals remain that cause this phenomena.

hi, firefox is a multi-process application that moves various task to separate process for the stake of increased performance, stability and security: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Electrolysis#Overview

unless you're not getting multiple (unwanted) visible browser windows when you launch firefox, i think the behaviour you've described is normal & intended.
