Getting Firefox to stop opening emails when I click on a hyperlink outside of the browser? If I have an email hyperlink in a spreadsheet and I click on it, Firefox tries to open it and I want it to go back to using my Outlook Program like it was prior to installing Firefox.

Thank you

If you want to use the Outlook program installed on your computer, you need to do two things.

Firstly, you need to check that email links within Firefox are set to open using Outlook instead of one of the builtin websites. This can be done by going to the Firefox settings page and scrolling to the Applications section. In that section, a mailto content type should be listed and you can change the default action for that content to the Outlook program on your computer.

Finally, you need to also change the default mail program on Windows. How to do that will depend on the Windows version that you are using.

According to your question, you appear to be using Windows 7. On Windows 7, there are a few different ways you can go about doing this. The Change which programs Windows 7 uses by default page on the Microsoft support website outlines the various ways.

On Windows 10, the default app settings can be found under Settings > Apps > Default Apps.

Hope this helps.
