I shut down my computer and every time when I go to history upon restart it only shows today not yesterday or 2 days ago or 4 days ago etc. I have gone to tools then selected options and then privacy only there is not check box for keep settings upon shutdown on my firefox tools setting.

What can I do to remedy this issue?

Please follow the following steps:

  1. Click on Tools tab located in the Menu Bar
  2. Click on Option
  3. In the new window click on Privacy tab on the top
  4. In the History Panel click on the drop down Firefox will
  5. Select Remember History
  6. Click on OK button

If you have already followed the above steps and you are still facing the same issue, please verify if you have installed any software like Deep Freeze on your system.

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

  • do not clear the "Browsing History"

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
