Firefox supports two different interchange formats:

  • JSON "backup" format - more complete (e.g., preserves tags) - when restored, replaces any existing bookmarks in the browser
  • HTML "export" format - compatible with other browsers - when imported, is added to any existing bookmarks in the browser

Check out these articles and see whether you can get the bookmarks where you need them:

To physically move the bookmarks file, you could use:

  • removable media such as a USB Flash drive
  • cloud storage, e.g., Dropbox, or an attachment to an email to yourself

Finally, you could consider setting up the Firefox Sync service if you want to keep the two Firefoxes in sync. That isn't necessary for a one-time transfer.
