microsoft update killed your audio with blocking asio.sys audio works with both chrome and edge, but blocking asio.sys killed your audio only. are you going to develop a fix for this, or do i abandon you for the other guys?

I have no idea why, but all of a sudden Twitch streams won't work on Firefox. It's only affecting Twitch because I can load YouTube and other streaming sites fine, and it's only on Firefox because it works fine on Chrome. I tried clearing my cache and cookies, disabling all add-ons and extensions, and restarting my device. Nothing works. The only indication that I have of what the issue might be is a message in the browser console that says this:

NetworkError: A network error occurred. addcf53b-cec4-4980-829e-de0aca27def2:1

   <anonymous> blob:https://www.twitch.tv/addcf53b-cec4-4980-829e-de0aca27def2:1

From what I can tell, the blob is where the browser loads the stream itself. Every stream I've tried to load gives me this error.

UPDATE: I was able to fix it by clearing the cache.

Hi,

 My Tbird email has been hacked.  Not suspected but proven.  I have changed the root

email account password - logged in to Tbird and did an attempt to Get Email and it asked me for the password. I provided it and it seemed to work and the password -seemed- to get saved.

 But when I went back in a little later - Tbird asked for the password again.  I did NOT

provide it this time but used a direct browser based email process - that works with the new password. So password confirmed.

 Very concerned about Tbird not saving the new password and re-using it.  Is it  

possible that Tbird itself has been hacked? A virus scan of the entire computer did not show any problems (Norton).

I've been using Firefox for years with no problems. Today I opened it and it wanted me to make it my default browser, which it already was, but I did it anyway. Now when I click a link in an email in Thunderbird, Firefox loads but all my passwords and user names are gone. If I close and reload Firefox and cut and paste the link, I have my passwords and user names back and everything is normal. Windows 10 shows only one version of Firefox installed, but for awhile settings/default apps listed 2 versions (now it only shows one). How do I change this?

On installing Thunderbird on my new Windows 11 computer, restore of backed up Profile did NOT restore my calendar. The calendar file is definitely in my Profile backup and it is over 1000 kb but nothing I have tried will import this local.sqlite file. I cannot find any other software that will import this file. Help. Thank you.

Recently I opened Thunderbird and it automatically added the following folders to my account:

All the generic yellow folders below the Deleted trash can icon suddenly appeared and they weren't there or weren't shown before. I right-mouse clicked on the account folder, went to Subscribe, unticked the folders that I don't want to subscribe to (all the yellow ones were there), restarted Thunderbird and they all still appeared and the boxes I unchecked, had just rechecked themselves.

I don't want them shown. Is there anyway to fix this?

Before, when exporting mails in pdf, I could indicate that I also needed an index of all mails, which is no longer possible? If I choose export pdf, no choice anymore?

My firefox can't be updated because of Potential Security Issue. I tried to directly download from firefox, but still can't download the new version. Here is the detail I got from Edge: " This server couldn't prove that it's download.mozilla.org; its security certificate is from 1099cloud.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. "

What is '1099cloud.com ', which stops me from downloading anything from firefox website? How can I fix it?

I recently tried to set up Thunderbird to receive emails on my smart phone while on vacation. The phone was new, and I ran into all kinds of problems with it, including messing up most of my passwords. When I got home; I'm getting a sign in error on my email account, along with other problems. How can I reset to a new password so I ran open the emails that have stacked up?

I can find no difference of settings between five accounts that Get Messages just fine and several accounts that STOPPED DOING SO -- getting no emails even when I click on dropdown for individual account

I have an icloud email address in Thunderbird on my windows laptop. I changed my apple id password and the icloud email has stopped working on my laptop. It asks for a password and does not accept my new password.

So I have two exchange accounts. Both were working until a recent Thunderbird update. Now they both will receive email, but only one will send. The offending account will spine for a bit on send and error out with the change password or retry. Both do not work. I have tried everything from recreating the account to creating a new SMTP account. I am at a loss at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am using,

Thunderbird 128.4.1esr (64-bit) Avast as in the pic. Also the SMTP setting in the pic. These are the same as the account that is work bar the credential change. This on Windows 11.
