I regularly use a VPN and recently noticed last ~3-6 months that I am having trouble loading most any websites on Firefox for Mac while on a VPN. These sites will load on VPN on other browsers fine (i.e. Safari) and WILL load on Firefox when VPN is turned off. What could be the issue here? It appears to be Firefox specific to Mac since the configuration works fine on my iPhone. Thanks!

I'm freaking out rn I'm having this exact problem except the provided solution will not work and firefox keeps loading into a blank tab called "New Tab". I had about 2700 tabs open, I've basically been using firefox as my long-time memory for the last few years. I did backup the previous.jsonlz4 file, which I extracted with this tool and validated with this one so I can guarantee the file isn't corrupted or anything. I've been trying everything except maybe using an older version of firefox for the past two hours and nothing works out, I'm truly getting desperate about this as losing this session would void multiple years of my life, the jsonlz4 file is 22,749,454 bytes large (21.6mb) and the (compact) extracted json is 103,335,520 bytes large (98.5mb). If I have to edit some source code and compile all of firefox to make this work I will just please give me a solution.

Hi

I reset my PC and restored all my apps.

For some reason Firefox has deleted all my bookmarks.

I've been through the support pages, they seem to be based around having a local copy which i don't have as I wiped my PC.

Any ideas on what else I can try?

I updated my Malwarebytes protection 3 days ago and since then I cannot access my Windows 10 programs using my Firefox browser as before ! I heard from Malwarebytes there could be some incompatibility between Firefox and their latest update but they had no information as yet .. Is Firefox working on this problem and when will it be fixed? I do not want to use another browser..

Many thanks in advance. Peter B

I tried posting this before but didn't receive a response. How do stop: https://masbay.z10.web.core.windows.net/werrx01USAHTML/?bcda=1-808-232-xxxx# from popping up on screen? I've tried every program I could think of ... malwarebytes, antivirus programs, rootkit removal programs, quick scanners, etc. I uninstalled FireFox and reinstalled it. Every time I think it's resolved, it comes back. And I notice it's always popping up in FireFox. Any suggestions? Thanks. Dave

I have a odd issue where, whenever i click one of the buttons on my mouse, Firefox either goes a page forwards or backwards depending on which mouse button i click. When it goes a page forward, but it's not available, it instead goes back to the Firefox homescreen. I've had to rewrite this several times because whenever i click on a new section to type, it goes back a page.

This issue happens at random. Sometimes i will click on a empty spot on any site and only on the 10th click will it go a page back, but other times it happens instantly.

I was very excited to see in the 131.0.3 release notes that it fixed a problem with bill pay. I've been unable to use bill pay at my small local bank since v131. My bank was unable to help me and I couldn't get bill pay to work with v131 even after opening everything up as much as I knew how (cookies, trackers, etc.).

Sadly, v 131.0.3 still has the same behavior of blocking bill pay with a very similar message to the BOA message posted earlier.

My local bank uses a site named: web13.secureinternetbanking.com and in the past, I also needed to exempt cookies from sites named: cwsb40.checkfreeweb.com and cw411.checkfreeweb.com. I've also added these sites to the exceptions list for enhanced tracking without effect.

I found a thread on Mozilla Connect from ipv6_fan that seemed to indicate a solution.

Based on that thread, I checked the following parameters:

The value of network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning is false.

The value of network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled is true.

When I set network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled to false, my billpay popped up as usual.

This seems to indicate (to a novice like me) that there are still issues in 131.0.3 with partitioned cookies.

To make this point, yesterday I spent probably an hour and a 1/2 trying to get to another bank account on Barclays working again because they just "upgraded their web experience". I think I was able to get all the new URLs identified for my exception list for cookies, but blocking cross tracking also creates havoc and I had to turn it off to get the bank site to work. I tried to add sites to the exception list for cross tracking, but firefox still showed it was blocking trackers even though I had added it to the exception list - so I gave up after all that time.

I appreciate the additional security being built into Firefox, but it seems to not play well with banks who seem to be on their own path for increasing security. These two paths don't seem to be converging.

I hope this doesn't sound ungrateful. Thanks for working on this.
