I used a Mozilla mask to hide my email when registering with a government agency account. All responses to my email mask from angency are unreadable: the sentences/ text responses and attachments are blocked out.

How I can remove the Mozilla subnet mask so I can read the content of my email?

Thanks!!

macOS will randomly indicate that Firefox has activated the microphone even when there are no websites open which should require this access. (Screenshot attached.)

I do use Google Meet frequently, which is allowed to access my webcam and mic. When this issue occurs, my workaround has been to start and end a meeting to shut off the mic access. But this issue does not only occur after a Google Meet session.

I have not been able to find any other users experiencing this issue in forums.

When will Gecko-based Firefox Android increase the number of default search engines in 2025?

Currently it hosts only Big Tech namely Google and Microsoft Bing and DuckDuckGo, which is Bing and MSN results in DuckDuckGo and Qwant (same Bing results) latter which works only in the UK.

I'm using Gecko-based browsers like Fenix and Mull and Iceraven, and they all come with like 5 to 10 search engine options.

Adding new search engines is a mess and doesn't sync with Firefox account settings, so futile efforts.

Even Chrome allows us to select our search engine, if we are visiting it too much.

Is Firefox really privacy based browser or just Big Tech in Firefox like Google as default search engine out of the box, no asking which the XYZ user wants?

That window obfuscates that is it from Thunderbird not my trusteed web browser by omitting the title bar icon.

Worse, Google actually accepts and acts upon this password.

No user in their right mind should be giving their Google password to Thunderbird. No non-Google app in its right mind should be taking Google passwords.

'Cos clicking it sure doesn't.

1 On Windows Chrome log in to Gmail.

2 In TB, Gmail mailbox, do Get Messages - see https://i.imgur.com/kGF1ice.png

3 Notice that the window title is wrong. You cannot "Enter credentials".

4 Click "privacy policies".

Result: FAIL https://i.imgur.com/fo9Boc6.png
