If your sign-in attempt was “blocked for security reasons” on Mozilla accounts, it means unusual activity was detected on your account. This security measure prevents access until we verify your identity. To proceed, we’ll send you an email to confirm it’s you trying to sign in or to report unfamiliar activity.

Verification E-mail

If your Mozilla account blocks a sign-in attempt, you will receive an email with a verification code. The email will include details about the attempt, such as the device type, location, IP address, and time. If the activity looks familiar, enter the verification code from the email to confirm your identity.

MZA confirmation email
How do I know that this email is really from Mozilla? Mozilla will never request your passwords, credit card details, or bank information. Always check the sender’s email address for an official Mozilla domain and be cautious of any suspicious links or requests for personal information.

I don’t recognize the sign in attempt. What should I do?

If someone else was trying to sign in to your account, click the Reporting this activity link in the email.

I haven’t received the verification email. What should I do?

First, check your spam folder and filters to make sure it didn’t end up in the wrong folder. For other solutions, see I'm having problems confirming my Mozilla account.
