I need to take a test for a staffing company. They use Java to administer the test. My Firefox does not see Java even though it is installed in my computer. Neither does the test see Java. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turned off my security, and even shut down my computer and restarted it. Any ideas how to get Java in? The testing company had the solution of try another computer.

Firefox is a 32 bit application. So you need the 32-bit Java version to make it work in Firefox.

Do you see the Java plugin?

  • Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins

See Java Platform > Java SE 7u67/8u20 (JRE Download;32 bit for Windows)
