I did the refresh and now it's worse then ever. Pages lock up & slow!

Firefox was running a little slow and I received a popup that suggested I do a refresh. I did the refresh and now Firefox is worse than ever. It was slow before and now slower. I must say it's mainly related to the games I play on FB, but other pages as well. When opening the computer this morning, there was a message saying it was running slow and what did I want to do. Frankly, I'd like to go back to how it was a long time ago when it was the best browser. Now I'm looking for others if I can't get this to work. I have refreshed at least twice more and still no improvement.

Hi sonnylady, you mentioned:

Some users are having problem with Flash performance due to an incompatibility with a new feature. You could try turning it off as follows:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste async and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the dom.ipc.plugins.asyncdrawing.enabled preference to switch the value from true to false

This might not take effect until the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again.

Does that help?
