Installed latest Firefox version, was advised to download latest adobe flash version, did: firefox now displays only skeletal lines with missing buttons etc. Tried switching to older version 3.6, same result! Very ugly, rather distracting, I wonder what else is not working properly as well.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

Thanks cor-el. I mistakenly took that checkbox out as I did not read it properly & assumed it was referring to links only. No, it referes to the whole page.

Sorry Swarnava, that was not the solution, the error was also present when Firefox 8 was running. If you are interested in the solution, please read cor-el's post & my reply to that. But thanks for taking the time to post your idea! Cheers.
