Quickbooks pro 2013 has stopped recognizing thunderbird as a mailer sometime in the last 4 months. I'm using MS windows 7. Yes, I know, it's old but does all I need without the newer poor display, etc. I had a lot of random computer problems.

I found an answer to the question but the steps could not be followed as there was multiple missing keys. I only use QB/TB for mailing customer invoices and there is very few customers. I'd rather not go back to mailing the invoices.

There was a suggestion on going back to version 60 of thunderbird. I'm currently running 78.11.0 of thunderbird. I'd rather not do that. I would like to get the spacing back in thunderbird as well.

Thanks

Rick

I gather that all versions of QB are 32-bit:

https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/install/re-64-bit-version-for-qbdt/01/606945/highlight/true#M24527

They will all work on 32 or 64-bit Windows, but to interact with TB, TB must be 32-bit. Uninstall TB 64-bit and install TB 78 32-bit from here:

https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/78.13.0/win32/

For best results, I recommend uninstalling TB 64-bit, rebooting, installing TB 32-bit, choose Advanced setup and set TB as default mail client, don't run TB at end of setup, reboot.

Do help menu > about Thunderbird. Is the version shown as (64) or (32) after the version number?

Thank you very much. It worked. How do I prevent TB from doing a 32 bit -> 64 bit upgrade in the future? Do I just turn off updates completely?

Set it in Options/Preferences to check but let you choose, then manually download the 32-bit installer.

I have it set to auto check but not download.
