firefox plugin process takes all memory even if adobe flash isn't installed and java is disabled, and within the browser all plugins are disabled. why ? nsa ?
Only a force quit, of the actual process from activity monitor, will do.
Mac OS 10.6 Firefox stable and beta, oh, this has been going on for months now.

Dear Readers : if you only want/need one Profile , take note of your extensions and backup your bookmarks ... they will be obliterated when you delete the default user , creating a new one will make your Firefox a clean slate
