In Thunderbird calendar, on 27th Oct 2024, entries added are displayed one hour ahead of where they should be. If the entry is edited, the times are correct, and they show correctly in another calendar app (Calendar on my iPhone). The issue does not occur for events on the day before or the day after, and is the same for a newly added event as for an existing one.

See screen shots. You can see my test event displayed at 11:00 - 12:00 but on editing it is actually 10:00 - 11:00 - the latter is correct.

27th Oct is the day that DST ends in the UK (at 0200) in 2024, but the events are several hours after that.

Nick.

Hi,

I have Thunderbird nebula 128.2.2esr (64-bit). The msf files seem to corrupt many times each day. This results in 'repairing' folders or when this fails - and it is pretty frequent - restarting Thunderbird.

I have tried completely deleting Thunderbird and all data files - reinstalling - and the same result.

Please help. Shalom Norman

G'day from 'Straya!

I have migrated Thunderbird from one Windows laptop to another, copying the profile and all included files. This mostly worked but has created a couple of issues I am trying to troubleshoot and could really use some help.

First thing probably worth noting is that I had an earlier version of Thunderbird on the old laptop than the new one downloaded to the new laptop. I don't that if that is the problem.

I have two email accounts which are both using IMAP. When I delete an email in Thunderbird, it keeps coming back and I now have multiple copies of that email. My storage is filling up 😒 Is there a setting I am missing?

Additionally, the migration does not seem to have brought over my contacts. Did I miss something?

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I used to run TB sync together with the CalDAV provider addon. I host a nextcloud instance in wich Ihave created some of my own calendars and some calendars wich are hosted in ical format on several servers. Before the update to native CalDAV and on my other devices, I am able to sync with all my calendars. On the new version of TB however, I only see the calendars actually created on the nextcloud instance. Is there a setting I am missing or is this feature just not implemented. Bets Regards

I thought that all my information would be preserved in the various Time Machine backups that I have made. However, all of my local folders containing 18 years' of email correspondece have disappeared. I can only view emails which are stored on the remote IMAP server. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, John.

Hello,

I can't receive new emails on my Thunderbird account because every time I try to refresh my inbox, I get this message:

‘An error has occurred while saving your messages. Make sure that the file system gives you write rights and that you have enough free disk space to copy the inbox’.

No problem with webmail.

We have another computer in the office connected to Thunderbird that receives all our emails. All the settings are the same, except that we haven't updated Thundebird.

We use a POP system.

Thank you for your feedback!

Some time ago Thunderbird changed from downloaded header and message as one, to downloading all the headers and then downloading the message content. At the moment I can access old messages but none that have tried to download this morning.

Can anyone help please?

I can send emails from this PC without any problems but cannot receive any. I am sending this message from another PC thyat does not have this problem. What is the correct number for the port. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird on the problem PC, even ded a system restore without success. Send OK, no receive. Help. Cheers, Gordon Shaw

The latest stable version that's working with hardware keys is 102, but it has some serious performance issues with large amount of calendar entries.

Outlook is used on one PC with POP3 data retrieval. Messages are only deleted by the email service provider if they are deleted in Outlook.

Thunderbird is also used to access the same accounts with IMAP access to the online accounts. All of the messages online have been downloaded by Thunderbird.

I am comparing the .pst Outlook files, and the various Thunderbird data files stored by the PC.

The Thunderbird data files are much larger than the Outlook files. For example, the largest Outlook .pst file is 2G. But there is a Thunderbird data file that is 8G.

Any reason or problem or cleanup suggestion regarding 20G of Outlook .pst data that appears as 30G of Thunderbird locally stored downloaded IMAP data?
