Thunderbird freezes when i delete an email, even when i shift delete it for up to a minute and while its frozen its says "not responding" happens when archiving emails too, i've repaired inbox, deleted the trash, compacted emails, and still it keeps freezing.

I recently moved Thunderbird to a different Hardrive on my PC and after importing my old Profile, it only shows emails I've Replied/Forwarded to in my Sent Messages Folder.

How do I get the messages I've sent, as well as folders I've archived?

I was having some issues with emails in Thunderbird looking encrypted and I was told repairing the folder it was in could fix that. So I did that and it did fix the issue.

Then I was having issues with my sent email folder. I had emails in that folder going back to 2018 because I like to keep everything just in case I need to reference it for some reason. I email a lot and so there were probably 13-14,000 emails.

It took a day or two to repair the sent email inbox and I couldn't hardly use my email at all while that was occurring because every time I would click on something, it would take 30-40 seconds to open it.

Now, every time I send an email, my thunderbird freezes and becomes unresponsive until the email is copied into the sent email folder.

It thankfully doesn't freeze as long this time and is still usable, any help on correcting this?

I have not changed my email accounts or my Google & Microsoft usernames or passwords. A few days ago when I started Thunderbird, two Google pop-ups arrive reading "Mozilla Thunderbird Email wants to access your Google Account" demanding that I deny or allow it. Why might this be happening and how do I stop it? This does not occur with other email apps such as Outlook for Windows.

I am trying to move folders to the Mozilla provided gmail account from my other gmail account and it seems to be locked-up, doing nothing. I also clicked YES when a dialog box suggested that I COMPACT my folders. I think maybe it was getting multiple commands simultaneously and locked. How do I fix this and enable the folders transfer to be done, please?

I am using a Mac with Big Sur (macOS Monterey Version 12.7.6), and my email is POP, using Thunderbird Version 128.4.2esr. My incoming messages are sorted in reverse order so that the latest message is listed first. I retrieve the message headers first then I either delete the message or download the contents of the message. The problem is that when I click on the download instructions Thunderbird does download the message OK, '''BUT it highlights the message just downloaded and it jumps to the next message. '''This is very annoying because in order to read the contents of the message I have to go back one message and purposely select the message just downloaded. It did not do this previously. Please correct or tell me the corrective action I should take.

I am using Thunderbird to archive emails to a local folder. I have put emails in separate folders by year. Still, it took a much longer time than I expected. I guess the reason might be synchronization. Often Thunderbird download the same folder, or a set of messages in a folder, repeatedly. It is hard to tell how many messages have a local copy.

One example is showing in the attached picture. It has been stuck there for a long time. Apparently, the progress bars are not drawn correctly. The lower folder is almost done by the number of messages, not the top one.

Thunderbird version: 128.4.1esr. OS: Windows 11.

Until then CardDav Server connect (remote adressbook) does not work any more. At least to https://sync.infomaniak.com/. Getting always Connection Failure (interface and logging console). See image. Whatever username is used.

CalDav Connection (to same server) works perfectly. Events get bidirectionally synced.

Anybody an idea, why caldav works, and carddav not.

Assisting a friend - she is viewing and composing her emails from thunderbird utilising her gmail account amongst others. Occasionally clicking on the required email reveals a blank message and no attachment if there is one. This randomly happens for inbox and sent messages.

slow to open/show emails

Starting today 11/06/2024 when I open Thunderbird on my desktop (Win11 Pro) it takes at least a minute to show any new emails, while the bar at the bottom reads:

connecting to outlook.office365.com

and the progress bar on the bottom right of the window is full blue (as if it's working but not moving).

This issue just started today and I've had intermittent slow downs for a while now.

I've tried 'troubleshoot mode' and the issue is still there. I've restarted my computer and the program several times, I don't use any addons for the program to disable for troubleshoot mode to turn off. I click on the 'Get Messages' icon next to the 'New Mail' icon and it makes no difference, the program just hangs for around a minute before it responds and shows any new emails. I can click everything and open all other parts of the Thunderbird program, it just will not connect to get new emails for around a minute and has been consistently doing this all day so far.

Hi, I'm using macOS 15.0.1 and Thunderbird 128.4.2esr (64-bit). I want to export my settings to the mobile version of Thunderbird using the QR code. However, when I select "Export for Mobile," I don't see any accounts available for export, and both buttons are grayed out. I have five IMAP accounts set up.

Messages appear to be downloading but they do not show up in the message viewing area. If I go to my laptop computer I can read them as normal. I keep all of my important information on my primary desktop computer.

The last message that is viewable on the desktop computer was received at 9:39am on 10/29/2024.
