Get reminders for specifically marked e-mails (e.g. I send an e-mail and would like to be reminded on a specific date if I did not get a reply yet)

I do send out e-mails where I need to wait for an answer. I move those e-mails into specific folders, but since there are a lot of e-mails I would like to get a reminder that I did not receive an answer yet. I think about something like: I mark the specific e-Mail and set a date when I would like to be reminded. The reminder can either by an automated e-Mail or in a window where I can see all marked e-mails no matter in which folder they are. Is this possible? Or is there an other option that would work?

Thank you for your help!

how about converting the emails to tasks and putting them in the task list for follow up. You would need to remove them as they responded, but it would work.

Thank you Matt. Wouldn't be 100% what I am looking for, but it is a good work around. I will try it!
