We have a windows 2003 server running Wsus with Local update publisher. While we are soon going to update the server, I just took charge of the corporate updates and want to update thunderbird to one of the newest versions. Is There an msi version of the newest thunderbird version? Right now we are using esr 17.0.3.

Glad to here you are getting off 2003. It has many vulnerabilities.

No, there are no official msi installs and no plans to do so. And I am not sure I would trust anyone who offers one.

I suggest you have a look at the resources linked off of https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Thunderbird/Thunderbird_in_the_Enterprise and https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/Enterprise
