is it possible to "unbound" the default search engines from region?

Per http://mzl.la/1BsPDaX about Firefox for Android, "Some of the search engines introduced here are regionally bound".

I'd rather leave them to whatever is their default. Worst offenders are Wikipedia (pt) and Reddit, which translates every single result! Both of these seriously affect the usefulness lf the results I get (after all, tbe internet is written in English).

Right now, I simply changed the app's language to English, but that is not an ideal solution.

Is there anyway to bypass this behavior?
