The Marketplace is a store that lets you find and install free and paid apps on your Android device. Marketplace apps are developed using open web technology, so any app you purchase or install on one device can be accessed on your other devices.

Find and install Open Web Apps on Android
When you open the Marketplace you'll be able to search for specific apps or browse apps by popularity or category.
- To get to the Marketplace, go to https://marketplace.firefox.com on your device.
- Search - If you know the name of the app or site, type it in the search box above the screen.
- Browse - Discover new apps or mobile-optimized websites by tapping Apps or Sites at the bottom of the screen.
- On the list of apps or sites, tap Categories and choose a category to narrow down the list of choices.
- Tap on an app or site to learn more about it. You'll see a description, screenshots, reviews from other users and an option to install the app or launch the site.
- Apps: When you find the right app, tap the blue button. The blue button will indicate whether the app is free or not. The app will appear on your home screen when it's finished installing.
- Sites: Mobile-optimized sites will display an option to launch the website.
- Note: You'll need a Marketplace account to pay for an app. The process for purchasing an app differs between carrier and country. Just follow the simple on screen instructions.
Access your purchased apps through the Marketplace
Because Marketplace apps are developed using Open Web technology, you can use them on your desktop, Android and Firefox OS devices if you sign up for an account.
- Sign in to the Marketplace by tapping More at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap . (If you don't have an account, you'll have the opportunity to create one as well.)
- Follow the prompts to sign in or create a new Firefox Account.
- Once you've signed in, you can access apps you've installed by tapping the button again, then tapping .
Remove or uninstall Open Web Apps
You can uninstall apps purchased through the Marketplace the same way you would uninstall native Android apps:
- To remove an app from your home screen, do a long-tap on the app and drag up towards the option at the top of the home screen.
- To uninstall an app, go to your app tray (or app drawer), then do a long-tap on the app you want to uninstall. Drag the app up towards the option at the top of your screen.
- Tap on your Settings menu, then tap Apps.
- Choose the app you want to remove, then tap on .
