Somehow I was running an unsupported ver 129 on a Win 10 system, not sure how. I was getting a warning messages at startup. I decided to install the latest supported ver 128. I did that over the ver I was running and did not save, export or rename anything. Just one install over the other. I have lost my calendar that I spent months building. Did I lose it? Any possibility it is still around hiding somewhere? Help please, but I am prepared for the worst for being hasty in my decision. Cheers, TR

Strangely, I can't figure out how to add to someone else's post if it doesn't already have replies so I'm having to start my own thread. Anyway...

Thunderbird on my system is 32-bit on 32-bit Windows and a day or two ago it updated itself to version 115.10.1. Since then it's been slow at sending emails, receiving emails, applying filters and pretty much everything else. Is this being worked on? I saw a couple of similar reports from other people here but like I said, I can't add a reply to them.

And if it's not known about or being worked on, is there some way I can roll back an update?

Not sure if this is Thunderbird or Windows 11. I use to be able to go to a web page in a browser and share it via "Send to Mail" Extension. It would open my default email program and a new email with the URL of the page I'm on already in the message area of the new email. It is not working now, likely since I upgraded to Win 11.I've been to the Default Apps settings and set all mail extensions to Thunderbird and the problem remains. It doesn't matter what browser I use, I've tried 3 different ones. My default browser is Firefox and it is up to date. I've tried other Mail To extensions in all the browsers and none work. When I try to do this, I see a message that says opening Default Mail Handler, then nothing happens, nothing opens. All I can do is copy the URL of the page I want to send and paste it into a new email I've opened by manually opening Thunderbird.

Suggestion are appreciated.

I am trying to add an exisiting email address to Thunderbird, and it is not connecting to the server. I copied the Hostname and Port from the information displayed on the 'External Access' page of the original email host. I checked and rechecked the email address and password and it keeps saying it can't connect to the server.

Thunderbird no longer sends emails from my standard account. Receiving continues to work without any problems. The provider is Vodafone with the .kabelmail.de address Screenshots show the settings. Otherwise these always worked. I've already set the TLS version to 1 in Thunderbird, without success.

The error message can be seen in German on the other screenshot and means in English:

"Failed to send message. Error sending message. The mail server responded: spam id=155817::1723829084-40E2144E-91888C35/29/1527808. Please check the message and try again."

Now with Thunderbird 128 we are looking for a similar feature to setup Calendars & Addressbook für each Mail user.

Is there also an XML-Like configuration possible?

The Autoconfig really increased the acception of the Mailclient by a very large margin. Can the same feature be used for Calendars and Addressbooks?

See Screenshot attached where it doesn't find any DAV service supportet by the server.

Suddenly i can´t add a new folder, or supfolder, nothing happens. I can´t even rename a folder. I have the latest uppdate of Thunderbird. Have restartet the laptop as well as Thunderbird several times. This was not any problem a couple of days ago. Have done that several times before

I'm following the steps: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Exchange

Not sure where is "Exchange Web Services" option. Would be grateful if you could clarify this.

I have an Outlook email account with multiple aliases. If I send an email from the default outlook account, all is well. However, if I try and send an email from one of the aliases I get the following error.

"Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.office365.com. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'."

Setting on the alias accocunts are the same as the default.

Sending an email from the alias accounts in Win 10 mail works.

Please advise.

Hi Guys, I wonder if you can help . I have had Monzilla Thunderbird App for some while , primarily used for email, and access to my email account with Microsoft and has always been a bit of a pain to say the least. That I fear is because it was never set up properly by myself in the first place.

However, at the moment I can't receive any email from my PC ......."bards@btconnect.com " unless I sign in via a webpage. However, access via my smartphone using supplied Outlook email app, no problem.

So I am hopeful that you guys can help me sort out my PC access once and for all.

The current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email and folders.

Brief history: i. Originally PC access to account via Monzilla working fine, (donations made at intervals to Monzilla). ii. Microsoft then changed security systems and servers and with current setup at the time I couldn't get access to email incoming or outgoing ( problem with Imap / PoP3 servers). iii. Fix provided by Monzilla with new account denoted as .... bards@btconnect.com (OWL) whatever OWL stands for I do not know, (annual subscription required). iv. Even with the use of this get around , I still had problems sending mail this I believe was a problem down to default passwords and old server settings. (confliction between default settings and original account settings and use of OWL ? ). v. As mentioned above the current problem has arisen after receiving a forced donation / subscription page from Mozilla having made my donation I still do not have access to my email. problem with server settings again. Don't know what's going on ? and I am thoroughly confused and would appreciate some help getting things back on track.
