I don't know where to find my question - about having to enter Outlook account passwords every time I open Thunderbird, but I have solved the issue.

Tools - Account Settings - Server Settings - Security Settings - Authentication Method - CHANGED from OAuth2 to Normal Password

I had to enter a couple of passwords in Password Manager once. check Remember Password and everything is back to normal

BTW you have not "fixed" your issue, only deferred it for a time. Microsoft are in the process of refusing connections using Normal passwords. That is why automatic changes were made.

Thank you for both replies, Matt.

I posted this a couple of days ago in 'the wrong place'!

Does this mean when Microsoft don't allow normal passwords, every time I open Thunderbird I will have to enter the password for every mail I account I want to monitor in real time?

And will the Microsoft Oauth2 password be 'good' until I quit Thunderbird. That is to say I won't need to sign in after every 10 minutes Thunderbird checks for mail, and when I 'wake my PC up' after 'Sleep'?

Fortunately I only need frequent access to 4 or 5 of my accounts!
