Two queries:- I have a strange black square that appears when replying to emails. It can be moved with the cursor but won't disappear. I have the option set which displays the number of messages and the disc space they occupy in various folder. In the Deleted folder, when I empty it, either using 'Empty Deleted' or manually be selecting all the messages and using the delete key, The number of messages drops to zero but the disc space is still occupied. This is in contrast to the junk folder where the operation works as expected. Help, please!

I saw an image in here from someone replying to a different question where they had an actual icon for their unread mail status rather than the dot. How do you do that? Thanks!

Hello I use Thunderbird version 128.3.1esr (64 bity)

I have a problem. Everyday thuderbird do "cataloging mailboxes" - i have 10 mailboxes and each day Thunderbird do this to random few mailboxes.

each few days he create new inboxx folder and copy to them mails - now i have 21 inboxes with duplicated mails.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this complex problem?

Warum werden Adressen aus den Kontakten im roten Feld und mit folgenden Zeichen angezeigt "<>!" Nach entfernen der automatisch angehängten Zeichen wird die Adresse richtig angezeigt und man kann die Mail versenden.

Hi My Thunderbird email account has stopped receiving emails. I've just noticed no emails have come in in the last 6 days. I tried to send myself an email (from another account) which confirmed it wasn't working. I have unlimited storage so it's not a storage issue. Can you help me solve the problem? Thank you Anna

Good morning, I have a problem with my inbox, because after a week Thunderbird deletes my messages on other computers, it works fine, I don't have a pop account, I only have an imap account, I don't have archiving enabled, I don't have any rules, the account has been reconfigured several times, I could find out how to fix it?

I have installed thunderbird but it won't open. Get the crash reporter with the message: Thunderbird had a problem and crashed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but with the same result.

hallo zusammen, ich habe heute versucht einen Chat-User mit Passwort zu erstellen, beim Verbindungstest kommt die Fehlermeldung: Passwort falsch;

Gibt es evtl. spezielle Anforderungen zum Passwort oder muss ich hier evtl. eines der angelegten eMail-Accounts benutzen?

Komme hier leider nicht weiter, danke für Eure Hilfe

WO und WIE kann ich die verlorenen Ordner finden?

While it's amazing that we can mark grouped folders as favourites, there seems to be a bug:

The grouped folder (e.g. Inbox) correctly appears in the list of favourites. But soon after it disappears until you uncheck end re-check it to be a favourite via its context menu.

The import of appointments, received per mail, does not work any more. In the past i was able to import an appointment, as .icl file, in my calender. Now I get an error message "The import failed unexpectedly. More information in the error console" There are no additional informations about this error. How can I fix this problem?

Hello, I just got a "forced" update of Thunderbird. Thereafter it refuses to start, giving me the error: "Error Platformversion '128.4.0' is not compatible with minVersion >= 128.3.1 maxVersion 128.3.1" (see attached image). I am now without e-mail on my PC and am not very enthusiastic about this situation. Best regards, Greg Jordan

I used a cleanup program last night and it has wiped out my Thunderbird email account. I restored my computer to an earlier date, but program still won't open. I downloaded a new version of Thunderbird, but it will not let me log into email.

I was working on figuring out an imap timeout problem (previous forum question) when I accidentally deleted the Inbox folder. No problem, I thought, cuze imap protocol will recreate that folder when thunderbird restarts. Problem is, it did, but after a period of time (10-15 mins) the Inbox and Trash (which I didn't delete) disappear. Nothing I do seems to recreate them. Message Synchronizing is on and Inbox & Trash are checked. Doesn't matter if unread emails are in there. When I restart thunderbird Inbox and Trash are back but then disappear.

Sent an email which disappeared and did not reach the receiver. I had this email in Draft first and then finished it and sent it (as normal) and receiver didn't receive it and I couldn't find it anywhere. I need to find this mail. Regards, Werner Pluss
