Firefox is constantly asking me if I want to restore a previous session when I go to the start page even if there was no previous session to restore. It is infuriating and seems to have started when I upgraded to Firefox 4.

Every since upgrading to Firefox 4 I keep getting requests on the start page to restore sessions. This is happening any time I open the Firefox browser and even when I just booted up the computer and there are no previous sessions to restore. I am hoping someone can help me stop this as I would hate to have to use a different browser because of this glitch or bug or whatever it is!!

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Profile Folder

Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).
