I collect images ... when I download an image there is a series of numbers below the image ... over the years I have noticed the numerals have vastly increased in quantity ... there are now as many as 37 numbers under each picture I download ... it is very tedious to reduce or erase these numbers for every image downloaded ... obviously there is some sort of "counter" built into the browser ... Is there any way to reset or eliminate this counter ? ... Thanks ...

I often open PDF links in Firefox. I can choose to open the PDF in a Firefox tab. If I leave the tab open and restart my computer, or look for that tab sometime in the future, I often see a page that says File not found (see picture). Somehow the page is being cleared out of the cache. Not sure if Firefox is doing this, Windows or some other program. Any ideas to keep these pages so I can see them in the future?

I run a website for my business,Flexi Shield UK Flexi Shield UK Paint Protection Film (PPF) services. While the site works perfectly on other browsers, I’ve noticed some issues when browsing on Mozilla Firefox:

  • Certain images and elements (like before-and-after car wrap galleries) take longer to load.
  • Some interactive features, don't display or function as expected.
  • The layout appears slightly different compared to Chrome or Edge.
  • Could anyone suggest why these issues might be happening and how I can ensure a seamless browsing experience for Firefox users?

This is something I've noticed in the last couple of mouths...

Initially everything on Firefox runs fine for the first 1-3 hours, but after that the multiple YouTube website video tabs I generally have open, especially the very last YouTube website video tab that's open, or any new YouTube website video tab I open, starts to lag like crazy.

Using my mouse to click the play/pause on the video player, or pressing the play/pause function key or spacebar on my keyboard, takes a good 3 or 4 seconds before the input action is registered, and it's not just that but the entire UI of the web page itself is slowed down.

Doing simple things like clicking on-screen buttons to navigate, and scrolling down to load comments, or scrolling down to load other video thumbnails etc etc, takes a good few seconds to actually work.

In general the YouTube tab(s) become very slow and unresponsive, and it's not just the video player on the tabs - it's the YouTube website in general that is affected.

I don't see a substantial difference in CPU or RAM in Task Manager when these 'slow downs' occur, but the fan speeds inside my mini PC do spin louder and louder.

For whatever reason this problem ONLY happens with YouTube. Other websites via other tabs tend to run and function just fine 24/7.

I'm running the latest 133.0.3 version of Firefox, and my system specs are as follows:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700T CPU @ 2.00GHz Storage: 595.2 GB Installed RAM: 16 GB (15.7 GB usable)

Other people have also reported similar things over on Reddit with regards to Firefox and YouTube.

Possible DNS over HTTPS Issue, Looing for solution

I’m facing an issue with my website https://emiratesappliances.com/ when loading it on the Firefox browser. The site works perfectly fine on other browsers like Chrome and Edge, but on Firefox, it often fails to load or loads with delays.

Upon researching, I suspect this might be related to DNS over HTTPS (DoH) settings, as the issue started after enabling DoH in Firefox. My website uses HTTPS and is configured with standard DNS settings.

Here are the details:

Website URL: https://emiratesappliances.com/ Firefox Version: (mention your Firefox version, e.g., 118.0) Operating System: (mention your OS, e.g., Windows 11) Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried:

Disabled DNS over HTTPS, and the website started working. Cleared cache and cookies, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Tested the website on a private window, but the problem persists.

It seems Firefox has trouble resolving the DNS for my site when DoH is enabled. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue permanently?

Hi, I'm developing an extension that uses API. I did not found legal method to turn off the preflight requests to API endpoints. API is not considered to response `OPTIONS' method with `Access-Control-Allow-Origin'. Therefore I cannot use it, browser does not allow it. I trusted the website API by 100%.

Is there any method to turn off CORS policy for the specific domain. Thx

The situation is like this: I once reinstalled Edge, and then Firefox disappeared from the default browser options in Windows settings. No matter what I do, I can't make it appear again and set it as default browser. I want to ask if there's any solution, apart from reinstalling the browser, because I have a lot of data in the browser and I'm afraid backing it up and transferring it won't be convenient.

As the title says, when I open an image in another tab, is there any way to pan an image with the middle mouse button or any shortcut buttons, my pointer is locked to magnifying in and out and the scroll bars on the sides of the image are incredibly awkward to use so I've been looking for an alternative and I wasn't able to find any.
