video wont play in some web pages
This is driving me crazy and beyond frustration. Now, I have tried every thing mentioned in the blogs none of the suggestions work ,so lets take a fresh look. My version is 49.0.2 The web pages are usually newspapers The Sydney Morning Herald and the Guardian. When Icut and paste these pages into Chrome or Opera they work fine, but Firefox .well sometimes I get sound and no picture, sometimes I get nothing. I also notice i can't log into any of the blogs on these newspapers, the button for comments just isn't there , it's gone, and yet once again I open these pages in another browser and I can comment, the button is there and all the log in details are available . Totally at the point of uninstalling Firefox forever.

What's your computer system and Firefox version?
What type player are those web pages using? Flash, HTML . . . . . Right-click in the player area.
See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
tried all that the drivers have nothing to do with this problem. The pages can use Adobe flash I never have it activated and use the HTML . When the pages want Adobe Flash i then allow it. The firefox version is stated in my original post running Windows 7 64 bit
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
done all a month ago. have not seen one solution that solves the problem

The clip (flash) plays fine for me. Enable flash and try again.
Problem Solved Kaspersky Anti-Banner was the problem.
I downloaded and installed the 64 bit version of Firefox . It made no difference the behaviour was the same. I then disabled my firewall and Kaspersky and the video played, so I delved deeper on the net and found some one with a similar problem on the Kaspersky forums. They recommended turning off ant-banner. It worked , why only this site i have no idea and why just in Firefox I have no idea.
That was very good work. Well done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.
