Recieving 403 errors in firefox but nowhere else
I often receive a 403 error when using Firefox Every time, before this happens, I get the unsafe website warning and then the 403 error when I continue anyway
I am using the latest version at the time of writing These errors only occur on my desktop PC I have tried to replicate this issue on both my phone (Android) and another laptop(Windows 11) but all the websites work normally on there.
I have tried the following, none of which have any effect:
- Clearing cookies
- using Troubleshoot mode
- Restarting
- Changing Useragent
- Using "Forget about this site"
The following do fix the issue
- Using a VPN
- Using Google Chrome
- Running Firefox in another profile
Going through the privacy and security tab and reseting all the settings sometimes works but only temporarily
The following are a few websites where the issue occurs
- https://kdice.com/
- httpe://obsidian.rocks/

Try Safe mode in Firefox. I guess an addon maybe a reason. Did you change options about about:config? There are countries where departments want to know more about citizens. Then there is no browser or addon issue here. Check your country for this.

Thanks for the suggestion! Just to clarify, Safe Mode is now called Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox, and as I mentioned earlier, it didn’t help with the issue.
The only changes I’ve made in about:config are to sidebar.revamp and sidebar.verticalTabs.
Also, I’m in the UK, so I don’t think it’s a monitoring issue. Although, the VPN I used was a US connection.
Appreciate the help—let me know if you have any other ideas!
That's odd! A 403 error typically means access is forbidden, but it might be a browser-specific issue if it's only happening in Firefox. Have you cleared your cache or checked any browser extensions that might be interfering? Adjusting security settings or turning off specific add-ons can help resolve it. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon!

Ask your friend who is a client of same Internet Service Provider to reproduce.
