thanks for reporting back, this looks strange indeed. can you recover the thumbnails when you try to reset firefox ?

No it didn't but apparently the update has the tabs at a fixed size so you have to zoom out to see them. Best solution was to download the newtabs addon, fixed it better than new. Thanks.
