The folder "inbox" for one of my e-mail acounts does not show on the screen, but all messages are there, and I can click on each one to see it...
I have seen others having this problem too, and their problem got solved by using the "Repair folder" link. I tried that too - with no effect...
It appears to be a pure display problem, as all the e-mails are there, and when I click on a specific location where a specific e-mail was supposed to be listed, I can open the e-mail OK. I just have no overview of what my inbox contains. Also, when I keep my mouse over the account in the column to the left, a little black window shows with all the new e-mails being listed.
I only have this problem with one of my seven a-mail accounts. All the others function fine, and this one also did for many weeks until it stopped a few days ago.
Restarting the computer does not help.
I use Ubuntu 14.04 as the operating system.

Try this:
select the Inbox which shows an invisible list. click on the far right column header choice icon and select 'Reset columns to default'.
did this work?

Thank you! It worked instantly! I would never have thought of that myself....
