You did consent to these permissions upon installing Firefox the first time they were requested. So it's nothing happening behind your back. Unfortunately up to Android Lollipop there is no way to allow or permit individual items, it's all or nothing. If you decline, then Firefox will probably not even install. This is the same for all Android applications, it's nothing specific to Firefox. Android Marshmallow allows a more granular control of permissions.
