more options

The default search options (Like Google, Wikipedia, Yahoo, and the others) have all disappeared. I recently updated Firefox, which may have contributed. The button to restore defaults is unavailable. Firefox is installed from the default openSUSE 15.0 repo: https://software.opensuse.org/package/MozillaFirefox

Chosen solution

The System Details list still shows them as installed and you should find them on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

You can rename/remove search.json.mozlz4 (and possible search.json, search-metadata.json, search.sqlite) in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to rebuild the search engines registry.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Firefox will rebuild the search.json.mozlz4 file.

After deleting that file, the default options reappeared. Thank you.
