Washington Post said a few months ago that software fixes were slow to reach users because after Android issues the fix, both the phone service provider and the telephone manufacturer have to revise their propriety software. Does Firefox get around that problem? Thanks.

Firefox runs on top of Android, and fixes are released every 6 weeks directly to users.

Hello, Isn't 6 weeks a long time to wait if an Android weakness needs to be fixed? Also, I don't know what you mean when you say that Firefox operates on top of Android. If the problem is with Android, how does operating on top of it solve anything?

If firefox has a security issue a fix is released immediately. And firefox operates on top of android. fixes taking a long time to be released on android doesn't impact firefox.
