In every text editor I've ever used for the last 25 years, typing a number and then a period will automatically turn on paragraph numbering. Or typing a * or - at the start of a line will create a bulleted list. How can I have this behaviour with Thunderbird?

Currently my only solution is to use the mouse and toolbar, which really slows down writing an e-mail. I also looked for keyboard shortcuts, but couldn't find any.

LINUX. see subject, please. i started on this laptop w/ mint. 5 or 6 years ago. then downloaded peppermint 1 and has been working great, but the browser does not update automatically like is said. Then, my Linux guy up and passed away. I know no one in town that uses it. I'M ON LINUX. any help appreciated. have gotten some replies with folk trying to help, but it just wants to download/install whole program. my bank wants me to upgrade to at least 115. can't access accts. Chase are useless. They don't know what Linux is. Perhaps someone here can point me in right direction? Regards. God bless.

T Bird 102.15.1 64 bit Windows 10. The body text in some of my gmail emails looks like HTML code and not readable text. If I open them in the gmail webpage they are OK. How can I fix this? Do I need a later release?

I recently updated to 129.01 (64bit). Now Firefox keeps crashing, especially when I am trying to fill out an online form. Does anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions on how to resolve?

recently switched to sky broadband, now half my web comics and other sites get 401d. some stupid interaction with their webshield rubbish seems to be the cause as it pops up occasionally. thing is, edge and brave have no such issue, and the trouble shooting guide for firefox not loading pages doesnt resolve the issue. restore firefox has partial effect until next time i restart my computer. but resetting my addons every time i sit down would be rediculous.

im guessing there is something in the dragons nest i need to toggle. im rather comfortable with how i use the tab sidebar and speed dial pins to be very eagre to switch browser.

I have used Fire Fox for years. Love it. recently I can no longer use because when you try to use metamask and connect hardware wallet (trezor) it does nothing. Metamask tech support says its on you guys. Please help I don't like using crome (using Mac Sonoma 14.6.1 and Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7) both do the same thing)

Open Fire Fox Click on Metamask extention Enter password Select "Connect a hardware wallet" Select "Trezor" Select "Continue" Nothing happens --dead

As per this archived question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1386828 I want to turn off junk filtering completely. Like the poster on the above mentioned question, I have done everything suggested, but Thunderbird still puts messages into the Junk folder. How can I achieve this? I keep getting a virus alert when in Firefox. I have scanned with every known scanner and Mcafee, with nothing found. BUT it keeps popping up as an alert. I get no alerts when in Microsoft explorer. HELP!!!

Using Thunderbird 128.1.0.esr (64 bit)

I have an IMAP account. Under Settings_Copies & Folders I have the option 'Place replies in the folder of the message being replied to' checked.

After sending a message Thunderbird can't save it to that locvation. I get the option to save to a local folder.

Subsequently I then try to move or copy the email to my desired IMAP folder. This fails with no error message - the email stays in the Local Folder.

How can I resolve this?

I am fairly new to Thunderbird, so looking for ideas on how I can accomplish this. Please don’t flame. 😊

I have calendars and contacts in iCloud and Google. These were synchronized to Outlook on my PC. Any changes made in any of these three (3) were synchronized to the others.

Now that Thunderbird has replaced Outlook, I am looking for the same functionality. I have iCloud and Google calendars and contacts synced to Thunderbird, and updates show up on Thunderbird. Sadly, not across to the other platform, ie. iCloud updates to Google or vice versa.

Any suggestions on how I may get this setup would be much appreciated.

I would like to access my emails on my cellphone, as I did before, but require assistance in setting up that facility on my cellphone.

Please send me the details to enable, "an amateur", to load my emails onto my Apple iPhone.

I cannot sign in to the New York Times today; on their main page it will not allow me to sign in to my account. I have called them, and apparently it is Firefox that is the problem. I can connect to any and all other sites. I can connect and sign in to the NYTimes from my iPad as well, so I believe it is the version on my Windows 11 laptop that is the problem. I've cleared all cookies and history, restarted my computer, re-booted my modem even, and closed my VPN, all to no avail. I have version 129.0.2, and it is up to date. It was working yesterday just fine. Is there another update coming to correct this?

I have firefox for android 129 and cannot adjust volume on twitter videos on the web, not the app. The speaker icon is there but is non-functional. Volume is at the lowest setting there and if I crank up the volume on my tablet I might be able to hear something through the speakers. If I head over to chrome everything works just fine. A search for this issue shows many people with the same problem. What gives and how do we fix it?
