The safe and risky site colors distinguished by McAfee WebAdvisor quit showing up next to websites in either normal or private browsing after Firefox updated to 59.0.2. My family depends on the secure search colors of WebAdvisor while browsing but now it does not work. The actions taken have been to remove then reload McAfee WebAdvisor numerous times and even refreshing Firefox but it still does not work. Is there a workaround or fix to be able to use McAfee WebAdvisor with Firefox 59.0.2? Thank you.

Hi, the same thing happened with Norton that did the same thing. I also lost the colour code safe in Google Search. I miss it also. Please check from the 3 Bar menu --> Add-ons and I will think you will find it may say not compatible with Firefox. Complex as to the why :

McAfee is not found in Extensions any longer. Norton SafeWeb is though

But it is not allowed into the area that showed the green icon (safe) any longer but does offer site blocking if it is on the list they update.

Sorry but that seems to be they way it is. Norton went down on version 57 so I guess you were lucky to get this far with it.

I can not find the definitive page at Mcafee Community Forum. as that would be the place to ask.

Please update your Flash 28.0 r0 as it is a security risk. Flash Player Version: 29.0.0.140 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks for responding. I checked the extensions and there was no notice stating that WebAdvisor was no longer supported in Firefox only options to enable or disable so it was enabled. I still does not work like it did and I hope the issue will be resolved by Firefox and/or McAfee. I also added Norton-safe-web and updated Flash, thanks for the links, I usually get a Flash Player notice to update but now am ahead of the game. Thanks again.

Hi McAfee and Norton running at the same time will possibly clash. Should run one or the other. Since am a Norton person I run that. So McAfee is running just fine since you say it is not disabled, but with out the icons on the search pages anymore.

As for the change you want is not going to happen anytime soon. As whole discussion thread in Norton Forum on the subject and I also posted my grievances but it is a Mozilla Firefox thing as per the 1st article listed. I doubt any thing will change their mind at this time as they are not allowing thousands of Extensions access to Firefox like they did before for Stability and for Security reasons.
