been having this problem intermittently. Have Java 6 update 22. Using Windows 7 Enterprise. To open multiple Firefox windows I have to disable Javascript. This works sometimes and does not at other times. But when it does not work, turning off "Enable Javascript" in options makes it work. Using Firefox 3.6.12

You are talking about two different types of code. See these KB articles.

Your problem involves an extension related to this: suricattagmap
Disable that extension, and if you can't relate that name to one of your installed extensions, see this:

Since this problem is intermittent, I will only be able to check the solution when it recurs. It's working for now, but if anybody figures out the extension that is causing it please post it. My installed plugins are listed in System info above.

Plugins aren't extensions. How about posting a listing of your installed extensions? You can copy, cut, and paste from the information viewed in Help > Troubleshooting Information.
