Is it possible to delete the bookmark button in the address bar? I can not find a addon for this and there is no option in the options menu.

Do you mean the Bookmarks Menu button at the far right side of the Navigation Toolbar that appears when the menu bar and bookmarks toolbar are hidden?

Try to drag that button from the Navigation Toolbar in the toolbar palette in the Customize window.

Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
