Firefox goes back to the previous Website when I move the cursor.
When I am scrolling down a page, suddenly I find myself on the previous page. I think I may be using one finger instead of two for scrolling. I sometimes do this to follow the text. But the cursor can be anywhere on the page. I'm on a MacAir.

When you open a tab, click anywhere inside the page and then Scroll Up/Down.
Your problem probably happens when the focus is still on your tab in the Tab bar (Tab Strip). press F6 to toggle the focus from Tab bar to the page..
Check and tell if its working.

You can set the elated gesture pref(s) to an empty string to disable that gesture.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
- Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily (Filter: gesture).
- Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
- Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
- Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu or by double clicking a pref: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)
