Why am I getting an error message from Apple Support saying that Jive no longer supports Internet Explorer 6 when I'm running FF 31.0?

When I try to access Apple Support or discussions, I get the following error message:

Attention, Internet Explorer 6 User

Announcement: Jive has discontinued support for Internet Explorer 6.

In order to provide the best platform for continued innovation, Jive no longer supports Internet Explorer 6. Jive will not function with this version of Internet Explorer. Please consider upgrading to Internet Explorer 7, 8, or 9, or trying another browser such as Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome. (Please remember to honor your company's IT policies before installing new software!)

I'm not using IE6 — I'm on an Intel Mac Pro!! What is going on?

hello, the useragent of your browser is correctly identifying it as firefox 31. you'll probably have to approach apple's support to find out if they have a bug on their side or are displaying this message to all its users...
