I have 4 email boxes in Thunderbird. Everything is working properly for sending and receiving emails. Then I run InstantWordPress to learn how to design webpages. Wine loader could not run this InstantWP.exe, so I quit. Next day, I tried to download emails and could not download anything. It just hang at Connecting to email server. No problem sending outgoing emails. Just unable to receive any emails. I notice in the past that Thunderbird stop downloading emails once a mailbox exceed 16,000 emails but it gave a mailbox full error message. This time there is no such message. How to solve this problem? Hope someone can help asap.

sounds like your application might have broken something in the TCP/IP stack on your machine. I think you might be best advised to look to the developers of the application that broke your system.

Many thanks for your reply. This answer points correctly to where is the problem, I think but Instant WordPress cannot help us solve this problem. This version of InstantWP.exe we installed was given by a free training vendor where we found a file pasteword.js which clamtk says it is a trojan. It is inside the folder iwpserver/htdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/paste/js/pasteword.js. Could my vendor be trying to hack into my system and that is why we got this problem?
