When I go to google then the cursor is in the search box (blinks). But when I write I find myself sitting in the navigation bar. Must first click on the search box first, then I can start typing in the right box. This is very inconvenient! IE does not work like this. When entering the google site, the cursor blinks and it is also selected, because you can start typing immediately. But with firefox (both at home as on my job) the same inconveniant thing happens. The cursor blinks in the search box, but it is not selected; because, when you start to type, you see the text appearing in the navigation bar.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
