The Help is recommending clearing the startup cache, but I don't know what that is so I can't decide if it's something I want to do. Is it the same place that stores all my cookies and other saved material, or is it something different? If it's different, what does it store and why would clearing it be useful?

Hi & Happy New Year,
OS: Windows 11 Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Display: LG 27GN950 Firefox: 133.0.3 (64-bit)
When I wake my monitor from power save mode Firefox has shrunk in size. I usually have my Firefox window sized at something like 2200 x 1900 pixels. Whenever the monitor wakes from power save mode the window has been resized to 1011 x 712.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
Thanks.

A help page on Amazon claims Firefox can play Amazon Prime videos, yet I got a pop-up window at the beginning of the movie (not the TV series) "Downton Abbey," which I purchased in 2022, saying my browser doesn't support HD because of content. That's a paraphrase of a window that flashed on the screen and disappeared before I could take a screenshot. The window linked to a page that said Firefox browser CAN play Amazon Prime videos. So the window makes no sense to me.
Does Firefox support HD videos overall? Is there some restriction for content (whatever Amazon means by that)?

I asked this a year ago and never saw a solution (other than 'gee, it should work yet'.) I use the local Windows Hosts file to give my router a quick reference name to get into it. That too has worked for years but began to fail last year. Inconvenient. The best I could track this down, it has something to do with forced DNS lookups and skipping the old Hosts file. If so, any work around to get my system simplicity back? Attached is what I see on each attempt.
I tried various settings for DOH and nothing works. I can reference the Hosts file in a Windows Cmd Prompt and it resolves just fine. Something is screwy in Firefox for some time now and I'd like to know what.

Since Android 12, many apps can take "scrolling screenshots" that capture more than just the currently-visible part of the screen, with an aptly labeled "capture more" button. I noticed that when screenshotting a webpage in Firefox Android, I don't have the option to do this. When screenshotting the same webpage in a Chromium browser, I do. (See screenshots: 1st is Firefox, 2nd is Chrome)
Is this a bug, or a known FF limitation? Is it on the devs' roadmap?

Firefox and dwm.exe load the CPU up to 40W when the computer is idle in windows 11 24H2. If it is on and the computer is locked, the monitor goes off and dwm.exe loads the CPU. Once you unlock the computer again, the leak stops. If anyone knows how to pass this information to the developers, please pass it on.
If you have a 24H2 you can check this, if you have a battery powered laptop, its battery will drain when the laptop is idle.

In the last few days, I´ve noticed that even when I don´t have Firefox (my default browser) open, if I open an application, such as MS Word or Viber a Firefox browser opens: "https://mmrtb.com/bonus/com-eu-1-9831/pt-lp1.php?c=4qz1i3cjz62z1&k=44054a8f2a8266ec8cbf5c4400bbcb38&country_code=PT&carrier=NOS&country_name=Portugal®ion=Aveiro&city=Oliveira%20De%20Azemeis&isp=Nos%20Comunicacoes,%20S.A.&lang=en&os=Windows%2010&osv=&browser=Firefox&browserv=133&brand=Desktop&model=Desktop&marketing_name=Desktop&tablet=4&rheight=768&rwidth=768&e=5"
I´ve checked everything I can think of, including Temp files, browser cache. I´ve even scanned the registry and all open processes. I´ve also installed another Malware scanner / eliminator, and no spyware or viruses are found. I cannot find anything. What is coming up is something that looks like a raffle or lottery for my ISP, but that doesn´t exist. if I cut and paste the url into a different browser, it takes me to adds for adult websites.
I´ve installed a site blocker as a Firefox browser extension, but I´m still getting the window pop up. I´ve attached a screen shot of what I get now that I´m blocking it. Once I close it, it still randomly loads again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When working on Linkedin main page I continually have a problem with a Linkedin function that allows you to view a person on the LinkedIn Recruiter site (if you have an account). There is a button on the profile called "View in Recruiter" that when selected, launches a new tab that opens linkedin Recruiter to view that person. When I use in Firefox, it works maybe 10% of the time. It is a HUGE impact on my productivity. Are there incompatibility issues with LinkedIn?
When "View in Recruiter" is selected, Firefox opens a new tab that says "about:blank" and the page will not launch. How do I resolve this?

I have noticed that Firefox has some severe performance issues, whether it be playing Youtube videos, or loading websites, or even loading localhost while running a node server, which doesn't even require an internet connection, yet it takes time to reload the page, which instead only takes an instant on Chrome.
