First I must say that we aren´t any good at IT and would very much appreciate all the help we can get and be happy to receive suggestion on solutions step by step. The problem is that we couldn’t receive mail messsages after the 29th of November and then all messages disappeared. We have Telia mail accounts and thought the configuration for these had become wrong or lost so we tried to fix these. However, in some strange way we just managed to create two new accounts with the same mail address as one of the existing accounts. We get notifications on the computer on new messages and we can read our messages on Telia webmail, but the inboxes in Thunderbird are empty. On right-clicking the inboxes, choosing properties and repair folder we can see all messages. However, we can´t repair the subfolders and the repaired messages disappear when we for example do a search or go between differnt folders. We use ESETantivirus and we have tried the fix with inacitivating and then reacivating SSL/TLS protocol filtering described in ”[KB3126] Disable SSL filtering in ESET Windows prooducts”, but this doesn´t fix our problem. We would appreciate help of how to get the inbox and subfolders to work properly and also how to get rid of the two extra accounts, with the same mail address, without loosing messages.

I have seen this and tried the recommended fix for ESET users, however my problems weren´t solved.

There are many more things listed than just ESET.

Also, have you tried Windows started in safe mode?

I have just tried the fix with ESET. This seemed to be the clearcut fix since my messages disappeared on the 30th of November and I use ESET as security program. I will try to do the other listed things as you suggest, however I have the feeling that one reason to why the fix doesnot work for me is that I wrongly managed to get three mail accounts with the same mail address. I have seen that I can delete an account, but then all three accounts with the same mail address will be deleted. If I choose to delete the accounts can I after that recreate thé account and get my old messages back or will they be lost?
