update version notifications
Hello Dear volunteers, I hope you can help me with a problem that is turning into a nightmare for me. I'm working in Thunderbird 78.6 and I get a daily notification to upgrade to 78.6.1. I don't want to because I don't know if this upgrade won't cause problems as I've read with users who migrated from version 68 to 78. How do I remove these notifications? Is the upgrade to 78.6.1 safe? Thank you for your help? All the best, Daniel.
Chosen solution
There are potential problems in updating from 68 to 78, which are usually avoided by creating a new profile with 78, but if 78.6 is working well, I think the risk, if any, of updating to 78.6.1 is pretty small. The release notes are here.

• Disable auto-update or update of TB (please upvote my Q+A both, inside the linked page, if its useful/helpful).

This is off topic - the user is already on version 78, therefore disabling updates should not be advocated.
@atErik, I did already but it doesn't prevent from getting notifications of new versions... Than'ks. @Wayne Mery, right and I have configured in such a way that I can decide myself what to do with updtades. @sfhowes, OK thank's. I will first do a complete backup and do updating to 78.6.1 Best, Daniel.
