It used to be that Firefox would remember where I saved similar files (from the same webpage I assume) in the past and save them to the same directory. That doesn't work anymore and I cannot find any setting for that. Now it always suggests the most recent place I saved to.

Even if you change the setting of Firefox about:config from "true" to "false", it will automatically change from "false" to "true".

privacy.userContext.enabled 

If you change "privacy.userContext.enabled" from "true to false" and check after restarting Firefox, it will revert to "false to true." It is unclear why it reverts to the original state.

Hello, My saved passwords do not work on certain sites on my Windows 11 computer and my Android smartphone. I have repaired firefox,and created a new profile as advised by members of the French forum.i have also created a new account. On the computer only, I no longer have the subtitles on the skillshare site. When I go to pinterest and deezer, the page does not display normally. I can't see the images in the duckduckgo search either, because I've been redirected to a non-javascript site. I had ccleaner, it was suggested to me that the problem came from there but I uninstalled it before creating the new profile. I also have bit defender free on my devices. Thank you.

Today I was forced to reinstall my PC (nothing worked, a lot of problems etc). I was told that I don't need to use any backup for Mozilla (even if I wanted, my PC problems would not allow me to do that) because yesterday I've made a sync. After couple of hours of reinstalling the system I wanted to sync my account to get back my Bookmarks and turns out that sync does not restore them. I have all my plugins and that's all, none of the bookmarks. I've lost literally years of saved data.

At first I thought it was Facebooks issue but when I shared using Edge or Opera browser the share dialog DOES have a share button at the bottom of the share pop up dialog. Using Firefox, for what ever reason, it's cut off at the bottom so I have no way to share and have to copy the link and walk it over to Facebook or wherever to share anything. If I configure DoH in Windows 11, Firefox is unable to make any name lookups.

Originally I had DoH configured in Firefox, I wanted to use a Custom provider so I entered the details, and this worked initially.

I then configured the Windows 11 OS itself with the DoH custom provider, and this also worked in other apps, I could also use nslookup to successfully perform name lookups.

However, after configuring DoH in the OS, when I returned to Firefox, I could no longer access any websites. If I reconfigured Firefox to use CloudFlare or NextDNS with DoH, they also would not work. If I disabled DoH in Firefox and used regular DNS, Firefox was still incapable of performing any name lookups and accessing any websites. Only when disabling DoH in the OS did Firefox begin working normally again. I re-enabled my custom DoH in Firefox and it works as long as I do not enable DoH at the OS level.

Is this a bug?

Whenever i open firefox the tabs just crashes. there is nothing but a blank screen with a tab crash reporter. any tab or anything i try to open just gives a tab crash. the crash report is this: bp-92ae3e9d-16cb-4655-a0df-8ce150240816

I'm running Windows 11 and Firefox 129.0.1 I open Firefox, using no connections to any website, still my Avast blocks connection from 3245.UK "because it is infected with URL:Blacklist" , every few minutes. Any idea???

Intermittently find browser open on its own @ homepage without any action on my part.

When I open a .jpg file, the Firefox web browser window width is too big. I want to change the default window width. Which item in about:config controls this setting and what value should I enter to have a default window width of approximately half the screen size?

So my Question is is there any way to prevent Firefox to change the Profile after Updating. Because i work in IT thats why the Security is a Problem so i cant just leave an older Version on every System. The Problem is the Customer dont want to change it everytime.

I would really appreciate it if someone has an Solution. 😊

In the older Firefox version (92), I could instantly open JNPL files by selecting "Open with Default Use JAVA (TM)". However, in the latest Firefox version 127, while the option is still available, it doesn't instantly open JNPL files. Every time I have to click to open the JNPL file.

Hello. I got a new pc and I am trying to sync my Mozilla account right now but I am not getting a the code to my email so I can not login to the account. The mail in question is *@cock.li that I have all my old data on.

Most tabs that I open now crash. This has been a steadily building problem that now has made the system basically unusable. I did try clearing history, cookies, etc., but that did not help. Even working tabs can crash when I go back to view them. It doesn't matter if it is a saved site, or a brand new one typed in.
