Using Firefox Reader View on news articles displays the site's domain, headline, byline, reading time, and article body, but weirdly, no dateline (which imo is way more important than reading time.)

Is that intentional? Can it be changed?

I remember in ff129 and earlier, when I selected tabs and pressed ctrl+shift+d it saved only those selected tabs into a specified folder name. Now firefox saves ALL open tabs regardless of selection. I really hope mozilla didn't make this regression deliberately because it was one of my most used shortcuts.

Firefox is not working with Shopify. I have tried the following troubleshooting steps and I do see:

1. Update Firefox to the Latest Version Go to Menu (≡) > Help > About Firefox. This will automatically check for updates. Regular updates ensure compatibility with modern web apps like Shopify. 2. Clear Cache, Cookies, and Site Data Go to Menu (≡) > Settings > Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data. Search for "Shopify" to delete only Shopify-related data, or use Clear Data to remove all cached data, which can resolve display issues in Admin. 3. Run Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (Enhanced Safe Mode) Firefox 2024 includes a robust Troubleshoot Mode that disables extensions, custom settings, and themes, giving a clean environment. Go to Menu (≡) > Help > Troubleshoot Mode. Choose Restart in Troubleshoot Mode, then Open when prompted. If Shopify Admin works in this mode, an extension or setting is likely causing the issue. 4. Check for Incompatible Extensions and Privacy Add-ons Go to Menu (≡) > Add-ons and Themes > Extensions. Disable extensions, especially ad blockers, VPNs, and script blockers, which may conflict with Shopify's dynamic elements. Reload Shopify Admin after disabling each extension to pinpoint any issues. 5. Disable Enhanced Tracking Protection for Shopify Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection may block essential cookies and scripts used by Shopify. Open Shopify Admin, click the shield icon next to the address bar, and select Turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection for This Site. 6. Disable Hardware Acceleration Some display issues stem from hardware acceleration conflicts. Go to Menu (≡) > Settings > General > Performance. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available and restart Firefox. 7. Use Firefox’s DevTools to Diagnose Errors Open Menu (≡) > Web Developer > Web Console or press Ctrl + Shift + K. Reload Shopify Admin to see if any errors or blocked elements are logged, which can provide insight into potential conflicts or missing resources. 8. Verify Network Security and Check Proxy/VPN Settings If your network includes a firewall or proxy, ensure that it allows secure access to all Shopify domains. Disable VPNs temporarily to check if they’re impacting Shopify Admin performance.

Machine: Dell Inspiron 15 5567

CPU: Intel i5-7200U

Op Sys: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS

RAM: 16GB

GPUs:

(1) Integrated Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 (KBL GT2)

(2) AMD Radeon R7 M445

Soon after installing Ubuntu 24.04 LTS freshly into my laptop I followed standard configurations to set my graphics card as the primary display renderer for my machine.

This is done by setting the environment variable DRI_PRIME=1 in my .profile file and rebooting.

I also made the following settings to Firefox's about:config

         layers.acceleration.force-enabled true
        gfx.webrender.all true

After reboot I get a lot of flicker on Firefox and a lesser amount on Thunderbird. The image below flickers on and off the screen for 1-4 seconds.

No such flickering occurs on Chrome browser.

Is there any way to fix this flickering ?

I have had to force quit Firefox so many times.

This is because if there is one incident where I needed to force quit, every time I come back the browser keeps trying to restore the faulty session. This is inane. Why would this even be set up to work this way? I choose, no don’t restore and it still tries to.

Can this be fixed, or is it time to move on to chrome?

Notice that the user agent line identifies the OS as (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:128.0) Isn't this a bit odd? Is this a bug in Firefox?

Shouldn't the user agent information refer to Windows NT 11.0?

This installation of Windows 11 otherwise works very well.

Hello to all, What is up with FireFox lately? For the past couple of months it won’t open some sites, and every time I watch something on Amazon Prime, I keep getting that “We’re experiencing a problem playing this video. For assistance please go to www.amazon.com/videohelp, Close player” message. Their help site is no help.

I have no ad blockers running on Amazon at all, it also happened in SAFE mode. I also cleared the cache and history, didn’t help. I have no problems with Amazon or the same sites opening on Chrome, Safari, and Brave. So why am I having a problem ONLY with FireFox?? What am I missing? FireFox Version 132.0, M2 MacBook, running osx Sequoia 15.0.1.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi. FF Android seems not to show a context menu automatically when text gets marked/selected. By holding the finger longer then appears the popup context menu. It should be standard to get always this option when text gets marked/selected because its a logically following action.

And when moving by car or train or feet, it is impossible to hold a finger calm.

Thx Am I right here to ask for that?

I've noticed that when using Firefox on Ultrawide 32:9 I get major blurry artifacting across the window and webpages. These can occur on the webpage itself, or they can occur in the URL/Tab bar. Once the window exceeds a certain width (roughly 75% the width of my screen) I begin to see these artifacts (if that's what they're called). If the window is downsized to half, or just slightly under 3/4 the width of the screen, these visual glitches don't appear. I've tried disabling hardware acceleration as recommended, but this doesn't seem to fix the issue or change it in any way. I have a Samsung LS49CG932SNXZA (Odyssey G9 OLED) display running at 5120x1440 240hz on a 4070ti GPU.

I am able to repeat this issue using Amazon as an example website, and I've attached some example screenshots. In Amazon, the issue is obvious and appears across the entire webpage, except for where the cursor has an interaction with the page (such as highlighting text, or hovering over something causing a transition). In the Tab/URL bar, setting the window as wide as possible and then hitting the WIN button to open the Start Menu seems to cause the issue 100% of the time. Running my cursor across a blurry section of the Tab bar seems to temporarily revert a portion of the it to looking normal again. If there's any more information I can give, or anything else I can try, please let me know.

I also found this reddit post, which seems like others with ultrawide displays may also have this issue without a fix. https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/1bcrsy8/ui_and_text_is_blurry_with_ultrawide_5120x1440/
