Does firefox have a limit for password length and if so, can I turn it off?

I can't enter my hotmail password, because once I reach 16 characters I can't enter any more. It doesn't matter what character I try either. I could just type the same character over and over and once it reaches 16, no more characters can be entered.

Firefox does not have a limit for password length, but it looks like the Hotmail web site does.

When I go to https://login.live.com/ with any web browser, I can only enter up to 16 characters in the password field. When I look at the source code for the page, I can see that the password field contains: "maxlength=16"

You can try using the "Forgot your password?" link to reset your password, or contact Hotmail support for help.
