how do I create a desktop short cut to firefox downloads

I would love to have instant access to my firefox downloads folder. how do I do this? Can a short cut be created for this purpose? Can an icon be placed on my toolbar to assist in this regard? THANKS for assisting.

You can use the Customize mode and grab the Downloads button for a toolbar.
