Emoji are replacing a few characters in the body of the email. previously could not compose an email without emoji inserted in place of a few letters, such as capitalized A. played with settings, fonts to no avail. magically the next day problem went away. the next day, now incoming emails are peppered with emoji: Mozilla looks like the M was replaced by emoji

My first thought would be to highlight the folder, rightclick, select properties and then click the repair button
