Firefox is slow, very very slow right after an installation

I have been having problems with firefox being slow over a year now. And with slow I mean really really slow. With a bandwidth test reaching 0.51Mbps while with exactly the same test on the same computer with IE I reach 16.12Mbps. In IE the ping is 27 in FF it is 144.

Where it used to be a solution to just kick FF out totally and then reinstall it now even the reinstall is slow immediately.

Reset FF to default state doesn't help and after that I stll get "Important Modified Preferences" and that I find weird after putting it back in its default state.

Hey,

I see you have F-Secure installed. Could you please try deactivating the firewall for a short amount of time to see if this remedies your problem?
