Thunderbird 45 Update Refuses to download new emails, also refuses to save sent emails

more options

Since upgrading to v45, no new emails arrive via Thunderbird (they still arrive via my phone and via webmail). After the upgrade, I was still able to send emails but always got an error stating that the message couldn't not be saved.

I have tried removing the email account and then re-adding it but now TB refuses to accept the account details. I have reset the password a couple of times (and have confirmed using my phone that the new password has been accepted and works fine), yet TB still refuses.

Sometimes upgrades interfere with account settings, not just passwords. I suggest you go to your mail provider's website and get the settings you need, then enter them manually: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration Also check whether you need to (re) enable your account to work with a remote client, some providers require you to do that.
